First post, although I've been lingering for a month or so... I now realise I should post in the introductions thread too so I'll do that next. Just got back into this after a 7 year gap. I found your blog separately to this, digidude while looking up FS1 info and stories. Good work!
Anyway.. I've been following the Bristol wind tunnel news closely since its been back in the news this year.. I received this from South Glos council a couple of days ago:

South Gloucestershire Council has received a planning application for the site below:
Land South Of Merlin Road Cribbs Causeway South Gloucestershire BS10 7SR
Description: Hybrid planning application for 13,834 sqm new floorspace seeking full permission for an indoor ice rink, indoor ski venue, indoor skydiving venue, coffee drive thru, associated access, infrastructure, car parking and landscaping. Outline planning permission sought for a retail store, hotel, restaurant and car showroom with all matters reserved with the exception of access.
Application No: PT15/5319/ODear Sir/Madam
I am notifying you that the Council has received revised proposals regarding the above, which you may wish to inspect at one of our one stop shop offices during normal working hours. Brief details of the amendment(s) are as follows:
Revised plans for this development received on the 19 September 2016
If you have any comments on the revised proposal I shall be glad to receive them by 5th October 2016, in order that they may be taken into account when the application is considered. They are advertising for a general manager who will work at Milton Keynes first, then transfer to Bristol in Q4 2018.
They also mention a tunnel near Birmingham that is in planning by an independent company with a Sky Venture tunnel.
