Hi all,

Want to book a Tandem jump this year and wanted to know if any can recommend me a site to check in with in the UK?

I've done the round on the interweb and all seems much of a muchness to a novice.

Based in London.

One potential issue, I'm 6ft 4in and current weight the low end of 15 stone.

Does anyone know of any places that take over 15 stone as standard?

Thanks in advance,

Jim

The tandem weight limit at North London Skydiving Centre is 16 stone (subject to reasonable BMI which you seem to be). However, those between 15 and 16 stone pay an extra £10. This goes directly to the instructor as there are only a few at the centre who are able to take people above 15 stone.

My missus did a tandem and she was 14 stone something we did ours at black knights in uk north west all they did was take her into a room and make sure she could lift her legs for when you land and everything was ok

So get practising lol!!!

I work at Peterlee, we can take anyone up to 16st7 but anyone over 15st7 must first be assessed to make sure they are fit, which as mentioned above consists of being able to lift your legs than (I think) 45 degrees. Just ring around the local ones which can be found at http://www.bpa.org.u...ere-can-i-jump/

Pretty sure UK Parachuting (Sibson) will take someone at 15stone.

Enjoy!

will take someone at 15stone.

That moment where you realise some places would reject you as a tandem student soon, and go for a run :(
